A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Chuck Warbington; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Chuck Warbington has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the2
vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the welfare3
of the citizens of Georgia; and4
WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,5
talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state, as evidenced6
dramatically by his superlative service as manager of the City of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and7
WHEREAS, appointed in 2016, he currently oversees a budget of just under $200 million8
and manages more than 300 employees; and9
WHEREAS, Chuck is a graduate of Leadership Gwinnett and the Regional Leadership10
Institute who serves his community in many capacities, including as a board member of the11
Gwinnett Coalition of Health and Human Services and the Aurora Theatre; and12
WHEREAS, prior to his service as city manager, he led efforts to form the Gateway 8513
Community Improvement District, the largest such district in the State of Georgia; and14

WHEREAS, this distinguished gentleman has given inspiration to many through his high

ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom16
which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved17
through overcoming the many challenges of life; and18
WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for19
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and20
WHEREAS, Chuck has served the City of Lawrenceville with honor and distinction, and his21
vision and unyielding commitment to excellence have set the standard for public service; and22
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this23
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.24
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25
the members of this body recognize and commend Chuck Warbington for his efficient,26
effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most27
sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.28
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to30
Chuck Warbington.31
