77 Honoring the life and memory of Matthew Christopher "Matt" Littlefield; and for other

1010 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens3
1111 with the passing of Matthew Christopher "Matt" Littlefield on March 2, 2024; and4
1212 WHEREAS, Matthew Christopher "Matt" Littlefield was born on May 16, 1985, the beloved5
1313 son of Byron Willis "Mickey" Littlefield and Margaret Williamson Littlefield; and6
1414 WHEREAS, he attended Sandy Creek High School where he was a receiver on Sandy7
1515 Creek's standout football team; and8
1616 WHEREAS, he graduated from the University of Georgia; and9
1717 WHEREAS, he forged deep bonds with his family and friends and was so well liked that he10
1818 served as a groomsman 19 times and was known as Uncle Matt to dozens of children of11

2222 WHEREAS, he proudly served as a registered lobbyist at the Georgia state capitol where he

2424 also built lasting friendships; and14
2525 WHEREAS, his career as a lobbyist led him to work on major political campaigns, including15
2626 those of Herschel Walker's Senate campaign and Tyler Harper's campaign for Agriculture16
2727 Commissioner; and17
2828 WHEREAS, he was immensely proud of his family, sisters Susan-Elizabeth and Victoria,18
2929 beloved brother-in-law Philip, niece Mickey-Reese, and nephew Parker; and19
3030 WHEREAS, he gave inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern20
3131 for his fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding he demonstrated to his21
3232 family and friends were admired by others; and22
3333 WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation23
3434 for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he24
3535 made this world a better place in which to live; and25
3636 WHEREAS, a compassionate and generous man, he will long be remembered for his love26
3737 of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who had the great fortune of27
3838 knowing him.28
3939 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that29
4040 the members of this body join in honoring the life and memory of Matthew Christopher30
4141 "Matt" Littlefield and express their deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.31
