| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Lipscomb currently serves as the executive director of Adventist5 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Community Services South Georgia (ACS/SGA); and6 |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Lipscomb has provided aid to seniors living in 85 counties in central and7 |

| 17 | 17 | | south Georgia; and8 |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Lipscomb created the Food Bags for the Elderly program in 2001 to9 |

| 19 | 19 | | address senior hunger in Crisp County; and10 |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Lipscomb along with her husband, Hew, drive 1,500 miles each month to11 |

| 21 | 21 | | deliver an average of over 25,000 pounds of food to 26 counties in central and south Georgia;12 |

| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Lipscomb has attended every Senior Hunger Summit sponsored by the18 |

| 31 | 31 | | Georgia Department of Human Services Division of Aging Services; and19 |

| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Lipscomb expanded her outreach to seniors during the pandemic by20 |

| 33 | 33 | | delivering emergency groceries to seniors in rural counties; and21 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Lipscomb continues her work to promote health and wellness in the22 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | community and plans to do so as long as she is able; and23 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Lipscomb has shown true leadership in the Georgia Aging Network and24 |

| 37 | 37 | | her commitment to serving older adults and all individuals in need of assistance is25 |

| 39 | 39 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that27 |

| 41 | 41 | | Distinguished Older Georgian and extend best wishes for future health and happiness.29 |
