A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the accomplishments of Charles Head; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, a broadcaster since 1970, Charles Head has hosted racing shows on WLET-FM,2
WZLI, WMOQ, WNGC, WCON, WLHR, and WNEG radio as well as TV-32, the CBS3
affiliate in northeast Georgia; and4
WHEREAS, during his 14 years as a NASCAR Cup Series announcer, he has announced at5
numerous racing events, including Atlanta Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motorsports Park,6
Lanier National Speedway, Anderson (SC) Motor Speedway, Toccoa Raceway, Hartwell7
Speedway, Lavonia Speedway, and more; and8
WHEREAS, Charles Head has further worked as a series announcer for Georgia Asphalt9
Series, American Challenge Series, PARTS Pro Truck Series, Fastrack Pro Late Model10
Series, Monster Mini Stock Association, and 602 Thunder Series, as well as a writer for11
Short Track Magazine, Pioneer Pages, and more; and12
WHEREAS, he possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the13
strength of character which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life; and14 23 LC 126 0055

WHEREAS, Charles Head is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable
15
reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and16
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this17
extraordinary individual be appropriately commended and recognized.18
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19
the members of this body commend and recognize Charles Head for his many remarkable20
accomplishments during his over 50 years in broadcasting radio and television and extend21
best wishes for the future.22
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to24
Charles Head.25
