A RESOLUTION
Commending Patricia Henry and recognizing the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival; and for other

purposes.2
WHEREAS, Patricia Henry has long been recognized for the vital role that she has played3
in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of this state4
and nation; and5
WHEREAS, Patricia Henry has a long and consistent record of service to her community and6
this state and has been recognized as one of the most dynamic and committed leaders in7
Atlanta's Caribbean community; and8
WHEREAS, she is the founder and president the nonprofit organization, Blessed Hands9
Generous Hearts and president of the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Bandleaders Association;10
and11
WHEREAS, founded during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Blessed Hands12
Generous Hearts serves to assist those in need, providing food, clothing, and personal and13
medical supplies, and the work of the organization has reached individuals throughout the14
United States and in the Caribbean and Africa; and 15 23 LC 112 1504

WHEREAS, each year Patricia specializes in producing the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival
16
which takes place every Memorial Day weekend and is one of the most unifying cultural17
events in the area, providing citizens of this state the opportunity to enjoy the vibrancy of the18
Caribbean culture; and19
WHEREAS, Patricia has been dedicated to providing unparalleled service and support and20
remains steadfastly committed to the principles of skill, integrity, and responsibility; and21
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this22
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.23
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24
the members of this body commend Patricia Henry for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and25
dedicated service to this state and nation; recognize the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival on26
Memorial Day weekend; and extend most sincere best wishes for her continued success.27
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to29
Patricia Henry.30
