| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, we are at a point in our nation's history where it is vital for good people at the2 |

| 12 | 12 | | local level to come together to provide our young people with career opportunities, life skill3 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | coaching, and mentorship that leads to thriving families with exciting futures; and4 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, we as elected leaders understand the importance of involving every sector of5 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | our community in this effort and we support a partnership that includes elected leaders,6 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | education leaders, business leaders, faith leaders, and community leaders who will help guide7 |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | this effort; and8 |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, our youth and families have the need for well compensated employment that9 |

| 19 | 19 | | provides opportunities for both career and educational advancement; and10 |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, our public and private employers have a tremendous need for well trained and11 |

| 21 | 21 | | motivated employees, and it is incumbent that we as leaders provide both a process and12 |

| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, the successful implementation of this effort will elevate our community as a |

| 28 | 28 | | the type of prosperity that benefits our long term residents, attracts great new families, and16 |

| 30 | 30 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 |

| 31 | 31 | | the members of this body support the Community Champions Initiative that unites all sectors19 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | of our community together in an effort that will bring hope and opportunity, wealth creation,20 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | and asset building to our youth and families.21 |

| 34 | 34 | | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 |
