A RESOLUTION
Commending David Yarbrough, Chattooga High School's 2023 STAR Teacher; and for other

purposes.2
WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most3
important objective of the General Assembly; and4
WHEREAS, David Yarbrough has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the5
vital role that he has played in the teaching profession and his deep personal commitment to6
the education of the students of Georgia; and7
WHEREAS, David Yarbrough has earned distinction for teaching excellence and has been8
honored as Chattooga High School's 2023 STAR Teacher; and9
WHEREAS, in recognition of his contributions to the education and welfare of young people10
in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary11
accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.12 23 LC 112 1687

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that

the members of this body commend David Yarbrough, Chattooga High School's 2023 STAR14
Teacher, and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.15
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized16
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to David17
Yarbrough. 18
