| 21 | 21 | | with the passing of Walter Marvin Metze on November 13, 2022; and3 |

| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Walter Marvin Metze was born on December 30, 1929, in Batesburg, South4 |

| 23 | 23 | | Carolina, a beloved son of Mr. And Mrs. Allen Metze; and5 |

| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United6 |

| 25 | 25 | | States Army, valiantly and courageously protecting his fellow Americans during the Korean7 |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | War until his honorable discharge in 1959; and8 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, Walter Marvin Metze was an active member9 |

| 28 | 28 | | of Friendship Baptist Church who served on several auxiliaries; and10 |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, Walter Marvin Metze undertook several business ventures that proved11 |

| 30 | 30 | | themselves to be fruitful, and he left behind an impeccable legacy for his family and his12 |

| 40 | 40 | | WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation19 |

| 41 | 41 | | for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and by the example he made of his life, he20 |
