| 14 | 14 | | Chapter 1 of Title 31 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general7 |

| 15 | 15 | | provisions of health, is amended by adding a new Code section to read as follows:8 |

| 18 | 18 | | (a) As used in this Code section, the term:10 |

| 19 | 19 | | (1) 'Human egg' means the female reproductive cell. 11 |

| 20 | 20 | | (2) 'Human embryo' means an individual fertilized ovum of the human species from the12 |

| 21 | 21 | | single-cell stage to eight-week development.13 |

| 22 | 22 | | (b) Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, any human egg or human14 |

| 23 | 23 | | embryo that exists outside of a uterus of a human body shall not, under any circumstances,15 |
