13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, in 1998, Reverend Christopher G. Johnson, Reverend Doctor C. William Joyner6 |

14 | 14 | | Jr., and Brother William Gilyard gave birth to what is now the Greater Augusta's Interfaith7 |

15 | 15 | | Coalition, a powerful tool in the pragmatic approach to providing technical assistance and8 |

16 | 16 | | information to the religious and sacred community; and9 |

17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, the coalition's objective is to present an academic, intentional, pragmatic,10 |

18 | 18 | | reflective, scholarly, and theological discourse of religion and its influence, implication, and11 |

19 | 19 | | involvement in society as a community service organization; and12 |

20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, the Greater Augusta's Interfaith Coalition celebrates religious freedom by13 |

28 | 28 | | designed to benefit Georgia's communities, including Educate-to-Vaccinate Now, which18 |

29 | 29 | | served to dispel COVID-19 misinformation and vaccine myths, and the Young Voters19 |

31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, in 2022, the Greater Augusta's Interfaith Coalition continued to serve as a21 |

32 | 32 | | champion of citizen participation and public engagement; and22 |

33 | 33 | | WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkable coalition be appropriately23 |

35 | 35 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body25 |
