| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps Seniors programs provide opportunities for6 |

| 15 | 15 | | Americans to serve their country through service at nonprofits, schools, public agencies, and7 |

| 16 | 16 | | community and faith-based groups across the country; and8 |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, at this moment, there are 250,000 people serving as members or volunteers in9 |

| 18 | 18 | | more than 40,000 locations across all 50 states and territories; and10 |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, in Georgia, more than 1,650 AmeriCorps members, AmeriCorps Seniors, and11 |

| 20 | 20 | | volunteers of diverse ages and backgrounds helped to meet local needs at more than 2112 |

| 21 | 21 | | service locations across the State of Georgia by responding to COVID-19, tutoring or13 |

| 55 | 55 | | AmeriCorps members and alumni and AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers for their service and41 |
