R. 423 - 1 - Senate Resolution 423 By: Senator Harbison of the 15th A RESOLUTION Commending Sarah Lang; and for other purposes. 1 WHEREAS, Sarah Lang has a long and consistent record of service to her community and2 this state, and under her guiding hand, Valley Healthcare has been recognized as one of the3 most dynamic and committed healthcare organizations in Georgia; and4 WHEREAS, she has garnered more than 30 years experience in healthcare administration5 at many wonderful institutions across several states, including the Michigan Primary Care6 Association, a state-wide nonprofit healthcare member organization; and7 WHEREAS, she has selflessly served in numerous leadership roles with many civic and8 professional associations, councils, and organizations, such as a board member for the9 Georgia Association for Primary Healthcare and the state's Women's Health Advisory10 Council; and11 WHEREAS, a highly educated individual, she earned her undergraduate degree from12 Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia, and her Master of Hospital and13 Health Administration at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio; and14 23 LC 112 1651 S. R. 423 - 2 - WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high 15 ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom16 which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved17 through overcoming the many challenges of life; and18 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for19 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this21 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body23 commend Sarah Lang for her unselfish, dedicated, and effective service to the members of24 her community and extend their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed26 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Sarah Lang.27
