12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Walter Marvin Metze was born on December 30, 1929, in Batesburg, South4 |

13 | 13 | | Carolina, a beloved son of Mr. And Mrs. Allen Metze; and5 |

14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United6 |

15 | 15 | | States Army, valiantly and courageously protecting his fellow Americans during the Korean7 |

16 | 16 | | War until his honorable discharge in 1959; and8 |

17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, a man of deep and abiding faith, Walter Marvin Metze was an active member9 |

18 | 18 | | of Friendship Baptist Church who served on several auxiliaries; and10 |

30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, he was a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation19 |
