A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Mount Paran Christian School Volleyball Team for winning the 2023

GHSA Class AA State Volleyball Championship; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Mount Paran Christian School Volleyball Team has established and3
maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics;4
and5
WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of volleyball6
competition by posting an outstanding record of 44 wins and only 9 losses; and7
WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team8
a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable9
2023 campaign, the team captured its third straight state volleyball championship; and10
WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding11
athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the12
team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astute direction of Head Coach13
Selina Chancy; and14

WHEREAS, this all-star team included All-State Team members Kaitlyn Moran, Sarah

Schwartz, Sadie Parkerson, and Annie Elliott and All-Area Team members Kaitlyn Moran,16
Sarah Schwartz, Sadie Parkerson, Annie Elliott, and Shelby Harris; and17
WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by18
performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition, it is19
abundantly proper to call them champions.20
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body21
congratulate the Mount Paran Christian School Volleyball Team for winning the 2023 GHSA22
Class AA State Volleyball Championship and extend best wishes for their continued success.23
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed24
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Mount Paran25
Christian School Volleyball Team.26
