2323 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:6

2525 Part 1 of Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated,8
2626 relating to the Board of Regents, is amended by adding a new Code section to read as9

3030 (a) As used in this Code section, the term 'historically black college or university' means12
3131 an institution that meets the eligibility requirements of 34 C.F.R. Section 608.2 as of13
3232 January 1, 2025, and which is a unit of the University System of Georgia.14
3333 (b)(1) Beginning January 1, 2028, at least one at-large member of the board shall be a15
3434 graduate of a historically black college or university.16

4040 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.20
