7	20		worship and observance; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for3
8	21		other purposes.4
9	22		BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:5
10	23		SECTION 1.6
11	24		Code Section 16-11-34.2 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to disorderly7
12	25		or disruptive conduct at any funeral or memorial service, is amended by revising subsection8
13	26		(a) and the introductory language of subsection (b) as follows:9
14	27		"(a) The General Assembly declares that the interest of persons in planning, participating10
15		-	in, and attending a religious worship or observance, or a funeral or memorial service for11
16		-	a deceased relative or loved one, without unwanted impediment, disruption, disturbance,12
17		-	or interference is a substantial interest and the General Assembly further recognizes the13
18		-	need to impose content neutral time, place, and manner restrictions on unwanted acts14
19		-	carried out with the intent to impede, disrupt, disturb, or interfere with such funeral15
20		-	worship, observance, funeral, or memorial service.16

23		-	(b) It shall be unlawful to engage in any disorderly or disruptive conduct with the intent17
24		-	to impede, disrupt, disturb, or interfere with the orderly conduct of any religious worship18
25		-	or observance, or a funeral or memorial service, or with the normal activities and functions19
