1515 A RESOLUTION
1616 Recognizing and commending the Georgia Asian American and Pacific Islander Hub; and

1818 for other purposes.2
1919 WHEREAS, the Georgia Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Hub is a nonprofit,3
2020 nonpartisan organization that was founded by Victoria Huynh on October 5, 2022, with4
2121 strong encouragement and support from national and local donors, partners, and community5
2222 leaders; and6
2323 WHEREAS, the Georgia AAPI Hub's mission is to strengthen the nonprofit ecosystem and7
2424 advance the social, cultural, political, and economic well-being of Asian American and8
2525 Pacific Islander communities throughout Georgia; and9
2626 WHEREAS, the organization focuses on building infrastructure for rapid community10
2727 response, enhancing nonprofit capacity, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving11
2828 engagement and advocacy within Georgia's AAPI communities; and12
2929 WHEREAS, in less than three years, the Georgia AAPI Hub has formed key partnerships,13
3030 secured funding, and mobilized communities through census coalition convenings, March14
3131 16th Day of Remembrance events, community focus groups and listing sessions, community15

3434 round-tables with White House officials, AAPI nonprofit forums and economic summits, and

3636 the creation of the AAPI Civic Engagement Coalition; and17
3737 WHEREAS, since its founding, the Georgia AAPI Hub has supported over 22 AAPI18
3838 nonprofits across Georgia, successfully helping to secure nearly $560,000 in national,19
3939 corporate, local, and foundation grant funding to strengthen these organizations; and20
4040 WHEREAS, in July 2024, the AAPI Hub made its national debut as a partner and grantee of21
4141 APIA Vote, broadening its capacity to advance nonpartisan voter engagement; and22
4242 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this23
4343 extraordinary organization be appropriately honored.24
4444 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25
4545 the members of this body recognize and commend the Georgia Asian American and Pacific26
4646 Islander Hub for its many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of this state and27
4747 extend best wishes for its continued growth and success. 28
4848 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29
4949 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the30
5050 Georgia Asian American and Pacific Islander Hub.31
