19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Reverend Dr. Homer Lee Mitchell Sr. was born on December 19, 1934, in5 |

20 | 20 | | Pittsview, Alabama, a beloved son of Jessie and Bertha Mitchell; and6 |

21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, he began his professional career as a civil service employee at Fort Moore,7 |

22 | 22 | | Georgia, before answering his divine calling to ministry in 1972 and delivering his trial8 |

23 | 23 | | sermon at Antioch Baptist Church in Pittsview; and9 |

24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, his pastoral journey began in 1973 when he was called to lead three10 |

25 | 25 | | churches—Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama; Antioch Baptist Church in11 |
