1616 Recognizing February 2025 as Career and Technical Education Month and February 5, 2025,

1818 as Georgia Career and Technical Student Organizations Day at the state capitol; and for other2
1919 purposes.3
2020 WHEREAS, organizations such as CTI, DECA, ENGAGE, FBLA, FCCLA, FFA, FRC,4
2121 HOSA, SkillsUSA, and TSA, along with career, technical, and agricultural education,5
2222 provide a solid foundation for the youth of America and for the future business and economic6
2323 development in our state; and7
2424 WHEREAS, career and technical student organizations promote occupational excellence,8
2525 leadership, and citizenship among their members, who are preparing for the workforce and9
2626 further education; and10
2727 WHEREAS, career and technical student organizations in Georgia are an integral part of and11
2828 intra-curricular component for career, technical, and agricultural education programs, which12
2929 are designed to support instructional objectives and the attainment of academic and technical13
3030 competencies; and14

3333 WHEREAS, they provide an opportunity for students not only to gain confidence and

3535 knowledge through competition but also to become more motivated in becoming better16
3636 students and more productive citizens, which in turn develops school and community leaders.17
3737 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18
3838 the members of this body recognize February 2025 as Career and Technical Education19
3939 Month and February 5, 2025, as Georgia Career and Technical Student Organizations Day20
4040 at the state capitol.21
4141 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22
4242 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the23
4343 Georgia Department of Education.24
