| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Howard "Sonny" Turner has long been recognized by his peers and colleagues3 |

| 11 | 11 | | as an individual who has made extraordinary contributions to soil and water conservation in4 |

| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, his upbringing on a dairy farm inspired a deep, lifelong commitment to6 |

| 14 | 14 | | Georgia's conservation efforts, beginning with his attendance at the state's first ever Natural7 |

| 15 | 15 | | Resources Conservation Workshop in 1962 and his graduation from the University of8 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Georgia in agricultural education; and9 |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, he has served as the district supervisor representing Walton County's10 |

| 18 | 18 | | Conservation District for 14 years, serves as vice president on the Georgia Association of11 |

| 19 | 19 | | Conservation Districts' board, and was awarded Supervisor of the Year in 2023 for12 |

| 20 | 20 | | outstanding leadership throughout his region; and13 |

| 26 | 26 | | in leadership roles for several civic and educational organizations; and 16 |

| 29 | 29 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19 |
