| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Leadership Lowndes was established in 1988 to develop and connect existing3 |

| 18 | 18 | | and emerging leaders, exposing them to local challenges and opportunities while fostering4 |

| 19 | 19 | | long-term solutions to community needs; and5 |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, since the first graduating class in 1989, nearly 900 leaders have completed the6 |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | program, contributing over 10,000 service hours to local agencies and organizations; and7 |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, the program includes a two-day retreat in January, a two-day trip to the state8 |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | capitol in February, and full program days from March to November wherein participants9 |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | engage with experts on key community and state issues as well as complete service projects10 |

| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Leadership Lowndes upholds core values such as knowledge of regional issues,12 |

| 38 | 38 | | WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding contributions of this21 |
