1616 Recognizing and commending East Paulding High School's Career and Technical Student

1818 Organizations; and for other purposes.2
1919 WHEREAS, East Paulding High School's Career and Technical Student Organization3
2020 (CTSO) students are visiting the state capitol on February 5, 2025, for CTSO Day,4
2121 representing such outstanding organizations as DECA, HOSA, SkillsUSA, and FFA; and5
2222 WHEREAS, East Paulding's DECA students have demonstrated continued excellency6
2323 through their many achievements, including earning Industry Certification in 2024, winning7
2424 the 2024 Region Championship, attaining Gold Certified School-Based Enterprise status, and8
2525 ranking among the Top 10 Largest Chapters in Georgia; and9
2626 WHEREAS, DECA officers Mamie Jeffries, Alyssa Gurley, Kendylle Jones, Zakiya10
2727 Castello, and Angelina Arce, along with advisors Halie Bissell and Megan Dupree, have11
2828 provided leadership and guidance in fostering student success within the organization; and12
2929 WHEREAS, East Paulding's HOSA students have made a significant impact through their13
3030 healthcare education initiatives, maintaining over 100 active members annually for the past14

3333 five years and earning Healthcare Program Industry Certification through Hometown Health

3636 WHEREAS, East Paulding's HOSA students have led community service projects such as17
3737 nursing donations and goodie bags, volunteer work at Special Needs McKenna Farms,18
3838 participation in the WellStar Volunteen Program, and supporting the American Red Cross19
3939 Blood Drive; and20
4040 WHEREAS, East Paulding HOSA has produced over 50 Healthcare Pathway completers21
4141 who have entered the industry as professionals, with 94 percent of students passing the22
4242 National Consortium of Health Science Exam in Allied Healthcare for the 2023-2024 school23
4343 year; and24
4444 WHEREAS, East Paulding's SkillsUSA students have demonstrated a longstanding25
4545 commitment to excellence by earning Quality Chapter of Excellence status and achieving top26
4646 honors at the 2024-2025 Regional Competition; and27
4747 WHEREAS, they have enriched their community through volunteer service with the UGA28
4848 Master Gardener Program for the Paulding County Extension, food drives for Caya29
4949 Ministries, and active participation in Trunk or Treat, Kindergarten Christmas activities,30
5050 Career Day, and Work-Based Learning programs; and31
5151 WHEREAS, SkillsUSA officers Jillian Houston, Zig Nganga, Comfort Azehi, Braeden32
5252 Walker, Brooklyn Bloomfield, Raine Rose Mitchell, Kimora Jones, Philip Orbih, Samantha33
5353 Henry, and Kelli Oluko, along with advisor Kathy Gerau, have exemplified leadership and34

5757 WHEREAS, East Paulding FFA students Emily Baker, Raelyn Benton, Payton Clough, Jada

5959 Kassamani, Arianna Kellum, Sophia Laird, and Ethan Westhaven, under the guidance of37
6060 advisor Nathan Chapman, continue to advance agricultural education and leadership through38
6161 their participation in the program; and39
6262 WHEREAS, the students and advisors of East Paulding High School's CTSO programs have40
6363 demonstrated remarkable leadership, academic achievement, and service to their community,41
6464 representing the highest ideals of career and technical education.42
6565 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that43
6666 the members of this body recognize and commend the outstanding contributions and44
6767 achievements of East Paulding High School's Career and Technical Student Organizations45
6868 as well as extend best wishes for continued success.46
6969 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized47
7070 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the48
7171 public and the press.49
