1616 Congratulating and commending Nellie Klodner; and for other purposes.

1818 WHEREAS, Nellie Klodner received the 2024 Inclusion Award from Georgia Tech's K-122
1919 InVenture Prize State Finals at the Raytheon Technologies Invention Convention United3
2020 States Nationals; and4
2121 WHEREAS, Ms. Klodner is a diligent, hard-working student from Panter Elementary5
2222 School; and 6
2323 WHEREAS, with the help of Anna Borsh, Ms. Klodner created the app "Grocery Eyes,"7
2424 which helps visually impaired people navigate through the grocery store more easily; and8
2525 WHEREAS, both Ms. Klodner and Ms. Borsh created the app in the hope that visually9
2626 impaired people can gain more independence through using the app's navigation,10
2727 microphone, and camera features to help locate items; and11
2828 WHEREAS, prior to winning the 2024 Inclusion Award at the United States Nationals,12
2929 "Grocery Eyes" won the same title from the state level competition where each student won13
3030 an Amazon tablet; and14

3333 WHEREAS, as first prize winners at the United States Nationals, each student received a

3535 trophy, certificate, and $1,000.00 prize; and16
3636 WHEREAS, this remarkable young student has personified the selfless dedication, mental17
3737 agility, verbal adroitness, and personal maturity necessary for such an honorary award; and18
3838 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this19
3939 extraordinary student be appropriately recognized.20
4040 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21
4141 the members of this body congratulate Nellie Klodner upon receiving the 2024 Inclusion22
4242 Award from Georgia Tech's K-12 InVenture Prize State and National Finals, commend her23
4343 for her many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of Georgia, and extend best24
4444 wishes for continued growth, development, and success.25
4545 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26
4646 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Nellie27
4747 Klodner.28
