| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Charles G. Newton IV has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for3 |

| 13 | 13 | | the vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the4 |

| 14 | 14 | | welfare of the citizens of McDuffie County, Georgia; and5 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,6 |

| 16 | 16 | | talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state, as evidenced7 |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | dramatically by his more than two decades of service as chairman of the McDuffie County8 |

| 18 | 18 | | Board of Commissioners; and9 |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, during his tenure, McDuffie County has undergone advancements in10 |

| 20 | 20 | | infrastructure, economic development, health care, and community services that have greatly11 |

| 33 | 33 | | Thomson-McDuffie County Water-Sewer Commission, and the Forward McDuffie Board21 |
