25 LC 112 2884 House Resolution 194 By: Representatives Santos of the 117 th , Lewis-Ward of the 115 th , Crowe of the 118 th , Flournoy of the 74 th , Holly of the 116 th , and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Henry County District Attorney's Victim Services Unit; 1 and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Henry County District Attorney's Victim Services Unit is dedicated to3 providing compassionate and comprehensive support to victims of felony crime; and4 WHEREAS, the unit consists of eight highly committed advocates, including two specialists5 who focus on crimes against children and domestic violence cases; and6 WHEREAS, these advocates assist victims in navigating the complexities of the legal7 process, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance, resources, and emotional support to8 pursue justice; and9 WHEREAS, February 5, 2025, marks Stand With Survivors Day at the state capitol, a day10 dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for the rights and safety of domestic violence11 survivors; and12 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkable unit be appropriately13 honored during this special time.14 H. R. 194 - 1 - 25 LC 112 2884 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that 15 the members of this body recognize and commend the Henry County District Attorney's16 Victim Services Unit for its dedicated, effective, and efficient service on behalf of those in17 need as well as extend sincere best wishes for continued success.18 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized19 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the20 Henry County District Attorney's Victim Services Unit.21 H.
