77 Commending the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta; and for other purposes.

99 WHEREAS, the Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC) of Atlanta supports member companies2
1010 in achieving business results through its strategic commitment to civic engagement and3
1111 social impact; and4
1212 WHEREAS, founded in 1992, the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta is the only CVC5
1313 in the nation recognized three times as CVC of the Year by Points of Light, a nonpartisan6
1414 international social impact organization; and7
1515 WHEREAS, the CVC of Atlanta is currently led by Yvonne Whitaker of the NCR8
1616 Foundation as President, Brittany Church of Ryan LLC as Vice President, Kat Reynolds of9
1717 Veritiv as Secretary, Geneva Hall-Shelton of IHG Hotels and Resorts as Treasurer, and10
1818 Toccara Arnold Alam as Community Volunteer, all of whom bring diverse expertise and11
1919 unwavering dedication to corporate excellence; and12
2020 WHEREAS, members of the CVC benefit from forums that focus on best practices for13
2121 corporate community engagement and gain access to educational programming, networking,14
2222 and leadership development opportunities; and15

2525 WHEREAS, the CVC further provides annual benefits such as industry-specific interest

2727 groups, access to nonprofit partnerships, and recognition opportunities through the IMPACT17
2828 Awards and other press features; and18
2929 WHEREAS, the CVC membership comprises over 90 businesses, including prominent19
3030 corporations such as Delta Air Lines, Deloitte, and Amazon, alongside nonprofit20
3131 organizations like United Way of Greater Atlanta; and21
3232 WHEREAS, the CVC of Atlanta continues to inspire companies to achieve meaningful social22
3333 impact and professional growth through their commitment to volunteerism and community23
3434 engagement.24
3535 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that25
3636 the members of this body commend the Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta for its26
3737 longstanding dedication to businesses operating in the State of Georgia and beyond as well27
3838 as extend best wishes for continued success.28
3939 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized29
4040 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the30
4141 Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta.31
