21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, he began his fire service career as a volunteer at Hiram Station 2 in September5 |

22 | 22 | | 1983 at just 17 years old, and upon turning 18, he enrolled in one of the county's first6 |

23 | 23 | | state-certified fire training classes; and7 |

24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, he officially became certified in 1984 as part of the second state-certified class8 |

25 | 25 | | ever offered to volunteers in Paulding County; and9 |

26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, he completed the county's initial 1st Responder Medical Class in 1988, was10 |

27 | 27 | | among the first to finish the inaugural EMT Class, and further advanced his skills by11 |

28 | 28 | | participating in the first GEMA Rescue Specialist Class; and12 |

29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, in 2017, Troy Cosby continued his dedication to the fire service by becoming13 |
