A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Sanaa Scipio; and for other purposes.
1
WHEREAS, Sanaa Scipio, an accomplished 11th-grade student at Landmark Christian2
School in Fairburn, Georgia, has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a strong passion3
for public policy, community service, and civic engagement; and4
WHEREAS, Sanaa actively contributes to her school community as a member of both the5
National Honor Society and the Impact Leadership Academy and she serves as manager of6
her school's regional championship soccer team; and7
WHEREAS, as further testament to her exemplary service, she established and leads8
Landmark's Public Forum Debate Program, where she both coaches and inspires her peers;9
and10
WHEREAS, beyond the classroom, Sanaa has trained with the Veritas Debate Institute to11
hone her strategic thinking skills and ability to analyze complex issues, which led to her12
presenting a winning proposal before a panel of executive leaders at a Fortune 500 company;13

WHEREAS, deeply committed to civic engagement, Sanaa additionally serves on both the
15
Fairburn Youth City Council and the Fulton County Youth Commission, using her voice to16
advocate for meaningful change while dedicating over 400 volunteer hours to community17
service initiatives; and18
WHEREAS, as a Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Ambassador, Sanaa has gained19
valuable leadership experience and expanded her global perspective through study journeys20
in Italy and Cuba as well as her participation in a Uganda Literacy Project; and21
WHEREAS, her dedication to excellence has earned her the Congressional Award Silver22
Medal, the President's Volunteer Service Award, and the AP Scholar recognition; and23
WHEREAS, driven by a passion for helping others, Sanaa has dedicated her future to making24
a positive impact in her community and beyond through shaping public policies that promote25
justice and equality.26
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that27
the members of this body recognize and commend Sanaa Scipio for her outstanding youth28
leadership and her commitment to academic success as well as extend the most sincere best29
wishes for future success. 30
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized31
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Sanaa32
Scipio.33
