| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Gary Minyard, a retired agriculture teacher and dedicated Franklin County3 |

| 11 | 11 | | Board of Education member, has been honored as a recipient of the 2024 Pioneers in4 |

| 12 | 12 | | Education Award in recognition of his exceptional contributions and years of service; and5 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, a native of Franklin County, he earned his associate's degree from Emmanuel6 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | College and obtained his bachelor's, master's, and specialist degrees from the University of7 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Georgia, establishing a strong foundation for his lifelong career in education; and8 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, after teaching for a year in Wilkes County, he returned to Franklin County and9 |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | dedicated 39 years of exemplary service to the Franklin County School System, instructing10 |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | at both the middle and high school levels and retiring in 2014; and11 |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, he played a pivotal role in developing one of the most successful agricultural12 |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | programs in the State of Georgia, leading the Franklin County FFA Chapter to state and13 |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | national recognition as well as advising numerous state officers and national winners; and14 |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, in addition to his service on the Franklin County Board of Education, he is an19 |

| 30 | 30 | | active member of the Hart EMC Foundation Board, Gideons International, and Zidon Baptist20 |

| 32 | 32 | | WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this outstanding individual be22 |
