A RESOLUTION
Congratulating and commending Ms. Rhea Brashear; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Ms. Rhea Brashear has been selected to compete for the honor of becoming the2
state recipient of the Technical College System of Georgia's 2024 Adult Education Teacher3
of the Year award; and4
WHEREAS, with this award, Ms. Brashear has earned the distinction of being named the5
Technical College System of Georgia's 2024 Adult Education Teacher of the Year; and6
WHEREAS, Ms. Brashear, an instructor for the adult education program at Southern7
Regional Technical College, has exemplified excellence in instructional knowledge and8
practices; and9
WHEREAS, in recognition of such, Ms. Brashear was selected from an elite group of10
Georgia technical college adult education instructors who have each demonstrated innovative11
teaching practices and exceptional leadership skills at their respective institutions; and12

WHEREAS, through dedication and professionalism, Ms. Brashear has brought honor to
13
herself, her family, Southern Regional Technical College, and the entire Technical College14
System of Georgia.15
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that16
the members of this body congratulate and commend Ms. Rhea Brashear for her outstanding17
achievements and her efforts to promote adult and technical education in Georgia as well as18
extend best wishes for continued success.19
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized20
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Ms.21
Rhea Brashear.22
