| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, a dedicated local businessman, Bruce Thompson played an integral role in7 |

| 15 | 15 | | Bartow County's economic growth and served as the 2012 Board Chair of the8 |

| 16 | 16 | | Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce; and9 |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, he continued his service to the community as a Georgia State Senator from10 |

| 18 | 18 | | 2014 to 2022, representing parts of Bartow and Cherokee counties as well as championing11 |

| 19 | 19 | | community values, safety, and economic development during his tenure; and12 |

| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, in 2021, Bruce Thompson launched a successful campaign for Commissioner13 |

| 21 | 21 | | of the Georgia Department of Labor, where he advanced key initiatives such as Second14 |

| 22 | 22 | | Chance hiring and worked to position Georgia as the No. 1 state for business; and15 |
