| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, a gifted student at Cartersville High School, Corbin McKay has been3 |

| 11 | 11 | | recognized for his superlative achievement and selected as Cartersville High School's 20254 |

| 12 | 12 | | STAR Student; and5 |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, to be selected as a STAR Student, a student must have obtained the highest6 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | score in one administration of the three-part Scholastic Aptitude Test and be in the top 107 |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | percent or top ten students of his or her class; and8 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, each school has one STAR Student who in turn has the opportunity to choose9 |

| 17 | 17 | | a STAR Teacher who has been inspiring and encouraging throughout that student's high10 |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, educator Melissa Moore was chosen by Corbin as Cartersville High School's12 |

| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most17 |

| 29 | 29 | | accomplishment that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of19 |

| 31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, the State of Georgia looks with great anticipation toward the future of this21 |
