1010 WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity Georgia and its Georgia affiliates have been steadfast3
1111 advocates for affordable housing and community development, tirelessly working to provide4
1212 safe and decent housing for families in need; and5
1313 WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity Georgia and its Georgia affiliates' efforts have6
1414 significantly contributed to the well-being and stability of countless communities across the7
1515 state; and8
1616 WHEREAS, on March 5, 2025, Habitat for Humanity Georgia and its Georgia affiliates will9
1717 undertake a significant advocacy initiative by framing a house on the Georgia State Capitol10
1818 grounds, symbolizing the importance of affordable housing and the need for continued11
1919 support and legislative action; and12
2020 WHEREAS, this event will bring together volunteers, community leaders, and legislators to13
2121 raise awareness and demonstrate the collective commitment to addressing housing challenges14

2525 WHEREAS, the framing of this house on the state capitol grounds serves as a powerful

2727 reminder of the impact that collaborative efforts can have in creating positive change and17
2828 fostering stronger, more resilient communities.18
2929 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19
3030 the members of this body commend Habitat for Humanity Georgia and its Georgia affiliates20
3131 for their unwavering dedication to affordable housing and community advocacy as well as21
3232 recognize March 5, 2025, as Habitat for Humanity Georgia Day at the state capitol.22
3333 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23
3434 and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the24
3535 public and the press.25
