99 Honoring the life and memory of Barry A. Brown; and for other purposes.

1111 WHEREAS, Savannah native Barry A. Brown was born on November 6, 1954, to the late2
1212 Henry J. and Bernardine Osbourne Brown; and3
1313 WHEREAS, he graduated from Savannah High School and dedicated over 20 years to the4
1414 City of Tybee, serving on the Planning Commission and City Council as well as Mayor Pro5
1515 Tempore; and6
1616 WHEREAS, as a longtime resident of Tybee Island, Barry A. Brown was a committed7
1717 member of the Marine Rescue Squadron for over 25 years; and8
1818 WHEREAS, Barry A. Brown belonged to the American Legion Post 154, and professionally,9
1919 he was the proud owner and operator of Barry A. Brown Co. Inc.; and 10
2020 WHEREAS, his family was the most important thing in his life; his greatest treasures were11

2424 WHEREAS, Barry A. Brown enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching chef, restauranteur, and

2626 television host Guy Fieri; and14
2727 WHEREAS, his dry sense of humor made him beloved by all, and he will long be15
2828 remembered for his love of family, friendship, and community and will be missed by all who16
2929 had the great fortune of knowing him; and17
3030 WHEREAS, he never met a stranger; Barry A. Brown loved helping others and his kindness18
3131 was boundless; and19
3232 WHEREAS, his wife of 51 years, Sunni; his children, siblings, nieces, and nephews; and his20
3333 "greatest treasures," grandchildren Colby, Tyler, Brayden, and Phoenix, meant the world to21
3434 Barry A. Brown.22
3535 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23
3636 the members of this body honor the life and memory of Barry A. Brown and express their24
3737 deepest and most sincere regret at his passing.25
3838 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized26
3939 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the27
4040 family of Barry A. Brown.28
