| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, women have long functioned as the heartbeat of the family and home, but6 |

| 23 | 23 | | cardiovascular disease continues to be one of the greatest threats to overall health and7 |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | well-being in women; and8 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, the American Heart Association launched its signature initiative Go Red for9 |

| 26 | 26 | | Women to be a comprehensive platform designed to increase women's heart health awareness10 |

| 27 | 27 | | and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women globally; and11 |

| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, cardiovascular diseases are the number one killer of women in the United States12 |

| 29 | 29 | | and disproportionately affect African American women with nearly 50 percent being13 |

| 30 | 30 | | diagnosed with heart disease in this country and numerous more unaware of the signs and14 |
