14	14	Recognizing and commending Fellowship Bible Baptist Church on the occasion of its 45th

16	16	anniversary; and for other purposes.2
17	17	WHEREAS, 45 years ago on Sunday, February 10, 1980, in Buzzell Village, Building 10,3
18	18	in Warner Robins, Georgia, a worship service was held and led by Reverend Willie L. Reid4
19	19	Sr.; and5
20	20	WHEREAS, in 1981, the congregation of 25 members purchased 10 acres of land on Dunbar6
21	21	Road in Warner Robins, Georgia, and on May 1, 1983, that small congregation, then known7
22	22	as Fellowship Bible Baptist Church, purchased 48 acres of land and moved into their new8
23	23	sanctuary, where in 1984 they added an educational wing; and9
24	24	WHEREAS, in March 1998, Fellowship purchased 48 additional acres of land, and in 2003,10
25	25	ground was broken for a new Fellowship Hall that was completed in 2004, now known as11
26	26	the Willie L. Reid Multi-purpose Building; and12
27	27	WHEREAS, as the church's footprint increased, a substantial number of new members were13
28	28	added to the Church; the people progressed as they fed on the mantra of faith Pastor Reid14
29	29	often declared: "If you can see it, that ain't it"; and15

32	32	WHEREAS, in 2003, Pastor Reid cast the vision for a new sanctuary, and on January 16,

34	34	2011, Fellowship marched into the "Faith Dome"; and17
35	35	WHEREAS, after many years of faithful service, God called the church's founding pastor to18
36	36	heavenly rest on May 4, 2012; and19
37	37	WHEREAS, Pastor Reid did not stand alone; he was supported by "His Loving Wife," Sister20
38	38	Gloria H. Reid, and their three loving children; and21
39	39	WHEREAS, in February 2015, Pastor Tolan Morgan was called to pastor Fellowship Bible22
40	40	Baptist Church; under his leadership, the SHIP has grown not only numerically but also23
41	41	spiritually. The various ministries at the SHIP regularly and successfully reach out beyond24
42	42	the church walls to meet the needs of those in the communities; and25
43	43	WHEREAS, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Fellowship continued to lead the way in26
44	44	impacting its community with mass food distribution, vaccination services, health screenings,27
45	45	and real-time worldwide virtual worship services; and28
46	46	WHEREAS, over the past 10 years, Fellowship Bible Baptist Church has experienced rapid,29
47	47	consistent growth to the current membership of approximately 3,500 active members, and30
48	48	ministries are being revised, facility upgrades are in progress, training is being expanded for31
49	49	believers and workers, and outreach efforts continue to meet the needs of all people; and32
50	50	WHEREAS, under the leadership of Pastor Morgan, Fellowship Bible Baptist Church33
51	51	furthers its impact on the lives of all people inside and outside of the church.34

54	54	NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that

56	56	the members of this body recognize the rich history of Fellowship Bible Baptist Church,36
57	57	commend its 45 years of dedicated service to the Lord and community, and extend their37
58	58	warmest best wishes for its continued growth and success.38
59	59	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized39
60	60	and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to40
61	61	Fellowship Bible Baptist Church.41
