A RESOLUTION
Commending Harry Jaynes, Marion County High School's 2025 STAR Teacher; and for

other purposes.2
WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most3
important objective of the General Assembly; and4
WHEREAS, Harry Jaynes has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital5
role that he has played in the teaching profession and his deep personal commitment to the6
education of the students of Georgia; and7
WHEREAS, he has earned distinction for teaching excellence and has been honored as8
Marion County High School's 2025 STAR Teacher; and9
WHEREAS, a dedicated educator known for his engaging teaching methods and insightful10
approach to social studies, he has inspired countless students through debate and11
thought-provoking discussions; and12

WHEREAS, he has taught world history, economics, and government at the AP and dual
13
enrollment levels, shaping the minds of students at Marion County High School while also14
serving as a coach for varsity football and middle school baseball; and15
WHEREAS, in recognition of his contributions to the education and welfare of young people16
in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary17
accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.18
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19
the members of this body commend Harry Jaynes, Marion County High School's 2025 STAR20
Teacher, and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.21
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Harry23
Jaynes.24
