1616 Recognizing January 28, 2025, as Gwinnett Chamber Day at the state capitol; and for other

1818 purposes.2
1919 WHEREAS, established in 1947, the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce has championed the3
2020 needs and interests of businesses within Gwinnett County, Georgia, for more than 77 years;4
2121 and5
2222 WHEREAS, the chamber currently serves more than 2,000 members and represents more6
2323 than 22,000 businesses and 10,000 sole proprietors in Gwinnett County, which is home to7
2424 nearly 600 international businesses; and8
2525 WHEREAS, the chamber has earned a five-star accreditation from the United States9
2626 Chamber of Commerce, the highest designation achievable in the chamber industry10
2727 nationwide; and11
2828 WHEREAS, on August 1, 2023, the chamber was awarded the Association of Chamber of12
2929 Commerce Executives "Chamber of the Year" designation, the first time the chamber has13
3030 received this honor; and14

3333 WHEREAS, the chamber further maintains Memorandum of Understanding agreements with

3535 11 bi-lateral chambers in metro Atlanta; and16
3636 WHEREAS, as additional testament to its dedication to excellence, 2025 represents the first17
3737 full year of service for the chamber's newly renovated $6 million three-story facility, which18
3838 preserves the legacy of its original construction while providing Gwinnett County with a19
3939 modernized hub for business; and20
4040 WHEREAS, under the guidance of its current leadership, including President and CEO Nick21
4141 Masino, Senior Vice Presidents Alicia Krogh and Lisa Sherman, Vice President of Public22
4242 Policy and External Affairs Paul Oh, prior Chair Lanier Levett, Chair Elect Kim Hartsock,23
4343 Chair of the Public Policy Advisory Committee Trey Ragsdale, and Chair Brad Carr, the24
4444 Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce continues to exemplify excellence in fostering economic25
4545 growth and advocating for the business community; and26
4646 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this27
4747 extraordinary chamber be appropriately recognized.28
4848 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that29
4949 the members of this body recognize January 28, 2025, as Gwinnett Chamber Day at the state30
5050 capitol and extend best wishes for the continued growth, development, and success of the31
5151 Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.32
5252 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized33
5353 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the34
5454 Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.35
