25 LC 129 0344 House Resolution 600 By: Representative Moore of the 91 st A RESOLUTION Celebrating the Georgia Latino Film Alliance and the Georgia International Film Festival; 1 and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Georgia Latino Film Alliance has been supporting, educating, and3 empowering Latinos in film, entertainment, and arts since 2011; and4 WHEREAS, the alliance ensures that the Latino community has a dedicated space in Georgia5 where Latino film executives, directors, and artists are celebrated; and6 WHEREAS, the Georgia Latino Film Alliance is a conduit to Georgia Latino International7 Film Festival, an annual event that is celebrated in the state of Georgia, featuring Latino8 directed, produced, and acted films; and9 WHEREAS, the Georgia Latino International Film Festival was created to elevate10 independent filmmakers, offer educational programs, and bring top-tier Latino cinema to11 Georgia, empowering the next generation of storytellers; and12 H. R. 600 - 1 - 25 LC 129 0344 WHEREAS, together these organizations showcase Latino talent in Georgia, educate and 13 empower the next generation of Latino storytellers, and share their stories around the world;14 and15 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this vibrant celebration of Hispanic16 heritage be appropriately honored.17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18 the members of this body celebrate the Georgia Latino Film Alliance and the Georgia19 International Film Festival for supporting, educating, and empowering Latinos in film,20 entertainment, and arts.21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22 and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the23 Georgia Latino Film Alliance.24 H.
