| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, the City of Thomasville is named for General Jett Thomas, who distinguished5 |

| 15 | 15 | | himself as a hero of the War of 1812 and is credited with constructing the first building at the6 |

| 16 | 16 | | University of Georgia; and7 |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Lieutenant Henry Ossian Flipper, the first Black graduate of the United States8 |

| 18 | 18 | | Military Academy at West Point, was born into slavery in the City of Thomasville; and9 |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy traveled to the City of Thomasville to10 |

| 31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, the City of Thomasville is known as "The Rose City" and hosts the annual Rose19 |
