| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Community Estr(El/La) is a grassroots organization led by immigrant,2 |

| 17 | 17 | | Spanish-speaking (Black, Indigenous, Brown), and transgender individuals who are3 |

| 18 | 18 | | dedicated to defending, organizing, and empowering the human rights of transgender4 |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Georgians; and5 |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, this organization provides vital programs and services to support transgender6 |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | and queer individuals, including healthcare access, HIV prevention, referrals for hormone7 |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | replacement therapy, and advocacy for labor rights and protections; and8 |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Community EsTr(El/La) fosters empowerment and education through initiatives9 |

| 24 | 24 | | such as the Trans Queer School, which offers English classes for members and clients, and10 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | a monthly newsletter that highlights the organization's efforts; and11 |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, the organization plays a key role in social and political advocacy, engaging in12 |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | mobilization efforts, legislative initiatives, and community-based actions to defend the rights13 |

| 36 | 36 | | WHEREAS, Trans Liberation Day is a significant observance dedicated to recognizing the19 |

| 37 | 37 | | struggles and celebrating the achievements of the transgender community, and Community20 |

| 38 | 38 | | EsTr(El/La) continues to be an essential force in advancing justice, equity, and visibility for21 |

| 40 | 40 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that23 |

| 42 | 42 | | Liberation Day for its dedication to advancing the rights and well-being of transgender and25 |
