A RESOLUTION
Recognizing April 22, 2025, as DJ Day; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, DJs play a vital role in the music industry by curating and introducing fresh2
tracks and emerging artists to audiences worldwide; and3
WHEREAS, through their performances in clubs, festivals, and on the radio, DJs are4
instrumental in helping new sounds gain traction and reach wider audiences, shaping musical5
trends and expanding the influence of diverse genres; and6
WHEREAS, DJs are often at the forefront of discovering and popularizing new music,7
fostering innovation and creativity within the industry; and8
WHEREAS, their ability to read crowds, mix tracks, and create unique musical experiences9
brings people together, making them key contributors to the cultural and social landscape;10
and11
WHEREAS, DJs play a crucial role in determining the success of a record, influencing which12
songs become hits and shaping the sound of contemporary music; and13

WHEREAS, the following individuals are to be honored on this year's DJ Day: DJ Toni K.,

DJ Encore ATL, DJ Silk Provibes, DJ Roots Queen, DJ Waffles, DJ D. Rocc, DJ Big X, DJ15
Dereck Sea, DJ Knotts, DJ Calvin Da Coordinator, DJ Swaye, and DJ Makaveli Dre; and16
WHEREAS, DJ Day honors the contributions of DJs in shaping music, entertainment, and17
culture while celebrating their impact on artists, audiences, and communities worldwide.18
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19
the members of this body recognize April 22, 2025, as DJ Day.20
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the22
public and the press.23
