| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Haywood Tucker, an Atlanta native, has long been recognized for his musical2 |

| 14 | 14 | | contributions and leadership in the State of Georgia; and3 |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, starting with humble beginnings, recording his band in his parents' living room,4 |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | he quickly expanded to opening Haywood's Recording Studio in 1978, in Atlanta, Georgia;5 |

| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, the first client at his studio was the renowned Atlanta funk band "The SOS7 |

| 19 | 19 | | Band," later Haywood would record other legendary singers and bands such as Curtis8 |

| 20 | 20 | | Mayfeild, Ollie Wilson of "The Temptations," Rev. Charles Davis, and Major Lance; and9 |

| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, he also worked with and recorded political greats such as the late civil rights10 |

| 22 | 22 | | icon and Untied States Congressman John Lewis, Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson, civil11 |

| 23 | 23 | | rights activist Jessie Jackson, and Georgia State Representative "Able" Mable Thomas; and12 |

| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Haywood is known as the "Splice King" for his extraordinary ability to cut tape13 |
