A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Pamela Brown; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, March is celebrated as Women's History Month, a time to honor and recognize2
the invaluable contributions of women throughout history and across all fields and trades;3
and4
WHEREAS, Pamela Brown's contributions to the community reflect the core values of5
Women's History Month; and6
WHEREAS, Pam is an exemplary Board Of Education member, currently serving in her 3rd7
term; and8
WHEREAS, she is also the Georgia School Boards Association District IV Director,9
representing the Rockdale County, Decatur City Schools, DeKalb County, and Newton10
County Schools districts; and11
WHEREAS, a well-respected leader in the Rockdale community, Pam is known for her12
commitment to education, community service, and advocacy; and13

WHEREAS, she actively engages in legislative efforts and supports various community
14
causes, is a member of the Conyers-Rockdale Economic Development Council, and is a past15
member on the Board of Governors of the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce; and16
WHEREAS, she is a Senior Transmission Analyst for Southern Company, a 2010 graduate17
of Leadership Rockdale, and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; and 18
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding contributions of this19
remarkable woman are recognized during Women's History Month.20
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21
the members of this body recognize and commend Pamela Brown for her unwavering22
dedication to her community and extend sincere best wishes for her continued health and23
happiness.24
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized25
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to26
Pamela Brown.27
