19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, David Curtis Bridges, PhD, has long been recognized by the citizens of this3 |

20 | 20 | | state for the vital role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to4 |

21 | 21 | | the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and5 |

22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,6 |

23 | 23 | | talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as evidenced7 |

24 | 24 | | dramatically by his legacy of agricultural education and rural advocacy; and8 |

25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, from 2006 to 2022, David served as the 10th president of Abraham Baldwin9 |

26 | 26 | | Agricultural College (ABAC), making him the longest serving college or university president10 |

27 | 27 | | in Georgia; and11 |

28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, he has worked tirelessly for many years on behalf of rural Georgia, and his12 |

29 | 29 | | work with the Rural Caucus and the House Rural Development Council was instrumental in13 |

43 | 43 | | diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state have24 |

44 | 44 | | earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and associates; and25 |

45 | 45 | | WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the indelible agricultural contributions26 |

46 | 46 | | of this Georgian are appropriately honored.27 |

47 | 47 | | NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that28 |
