A RESOLUTION
Congratulating Atlanta Drive GC for winning the inaugural TGL Championship; and for

other purposes.2
WHEREAS, on March 25, 2025, Atlanta Drive GC defeated New York GC in a best-of-three3
match to win the SoFi Cup; and4
WHEREAS, Atlanta Drive GC was led by PGA Tour players Billy Horschel, Justin Thomas,5
Patrick Cantlay, and Lucas Glover; and6
WHEREAS, Atlanta Drive GC clinched the championship after completing a historic7
comeback victory led by Billy Horschel's 18-foot birdie putt, which gave Atlanta Drive GC8
a 4-3 lead in the second match; and9
WHEREAS, Atlanta Drive GC finished the regular season with a strong 4-1 record, finishing10
third amongst the six teams and defeating The Bay Golf Club to make it to the inaugural11
championship; and12

WHEREAS, TGL is an innovative golf league created by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and

Mike McCarley and coordinated in partnership with the PGA Tour that fuses together14
advanced technology and live action golf; and15
WHEREAS, TGL has been featured at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida,16
which provides a first-of-a-kind data-rich virtual course with a real-life short game complex,17
creating a unique experience for fans attending and watching; and18
WHEREAS, Atlanta Drive GC was founded by Arthur M. Blank and is a complement to the19
additional businesses within AMB Sports + Entertainment, including the Atlanta Falcons,20
Atlanta United, PGA TOUR Superstore, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and AMB West; and21
WHEREAS, Atlanta Drive GC contributes to Atlanta and Georgia's rich golfing history and22
traditions.23
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24
the members of this body congratulate Atlanta Drive GC, Billy Horschel, Justin Thomas,25
Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Arthur M. Blank for defeating New York GC and26
winning the inaugural TGL Championship.27
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Atlanta29
Drive GC and other parties.30
