| 32 | 32 | | (a) Subject to the availability of funds, there shall be placed within the Nathan Deal20 |

| 33 | 33 | | Judicial Center a monument honoring the Honorable Clarence Thomas.21 |

| 34 | 34 | | (b)(1) Such monument shall be designed, procured, and placed by the Capitol Art22 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | Standards Commission, subject to final approval by a monument committee composed23 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | of the following members of the General Assembly:24 |

| 37 | 37 | | (A) Two members of the House of Representatives appointed by the Speaker of the25 |

| 38 | 38 | | House of Representatives;26 |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | (B) Two members of the Senate appointed by the Lieutenant Governor; and27 |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | (C) One member from each house of the General Assembly appointed by the28 |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | Governor.29 |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | (2) The monument committee established pursuant to this subsection shall stand30 |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | abolished upon placement of such monument.31 |
|---|
| 44 | 44 | | (c) No public funds shall be expended for the design or procurement of such monument.32 |
|---|
| 45 | 45 | | Gifts and donations from private individuals, organizations, or foundations shall be33 |
|---|
| 46 | 46 | | accepted and expended by the Capitol Art Standards Commission to carry out the34 |
|---|
| 47 | 47 | | requirements of this Code section.35 |

| 48 | 48 | | (d) Such monument shall be procured and placed as soon as practicable but not before the36 |

| 49 | 49 | | state has been granted any intellectual property license necessary for the purposes of this37 |
