77 To amend Chapter 34 of Title 43 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to

99 physicians, assistants, and others, so as to provide for continuing education requirements for2
1010 all physicians to include one hour on maternal health; to provide for related matters; to repeal3
1111 conflicting laws; and for other purposes.4
1212 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:5
1313 SECTION 1.6
1414 Chapter 34 of Title 43 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to physicians,7
1515 assistants, and others, is amended by adding a new paragraph to subsection (a) of Code8
1616 Section 43-34-11, relating to continuing education requirement and required training for9
1717 physicians, to read as follows:10
1818 "(7) On and after January 1, 2026, all physicians shall be required to receive one hour of

2020 education and training regarding maternal health, including preventive and emergency12
2121 care of pregnant and postpartum mothers as part of their continuing education13
2222 requirement."14
