8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 |

9 | 9 | | with the passing of Essie Mae Jackson on January 25, 2025, a beloved daughter of Charlie3 |

11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, a woman of deep and abiding faith, Essie Mae Jackson was an active member5 |

12 | 12 | | of her church who regularly provided meals for her fellow congregants; and6 |

13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, she was an exemplary cook who made room at her table for everyone, whether7 |
