99 WHEREAS, the Men of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, continue to exemplify the3
1010 high ideals of their Distinguished Founders' belief of Culture for Service and Service for4
1111 Humanity with 56 active chapters throughout the great State of Georgia; and 5
1212 WHEREAS, the Georgia chapters of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., continuously strive to6
1313 improve the communities they work and reside in by establishing service projects designed7
1414 to eliminate physical and mental health inequities, mobilize and educate voters, and empower8
1515 a previously marginalized citizenry; and 9
1616 WHEREAS, the Ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, a community conscious,10
1717 action-oriented organization, continue to fulfill the vision of their Founders with 60 active11
1818 chapters throughout the great State of Georgia; and12
1919 WHEREAS, the Georgia chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., fervently strive to improve13
2020 their communities by establishing projects and programs that advocate for social well-being,14
2121 mental and physical health, and economic justice; and15

2424 WHEREAS, the Georgia chapters of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and Zeta Phi Beta

2626 Sorority, Inc., continue to build on their rich legacy of shared purpose for the benefit of17
2727 improved service to the communities we reside in.18
2828 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body19
2929 recognize February 10, 2025, as Blue and White Day at the state capitol; commend the20
3030 combined efforts of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.; and21
3131 extend the most sincere best wishes for future success.22
3232 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed23
3333 to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Phi Beta Sigma24
3434 Fraternity, Inc., and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.25
